Hidden

Behind
This wall
Of skin and bone
And smile
Corded veins of soul
In wet dark desert lie
Within meticulous dust
The pain of stilled memories
Behind
This sheen
Of skin and sex
Filed behind this
Constructed joy
My self like an enemy awaits
And tears apart
The petals of your praise
Stalks
Within your silence
Every probable pose
To wear
Like a guest,
That you may never know
