Hey Little Black Girl

Hey little black girl... Do you know your worth?
did anybody ever tell you that you are worth the weight of the earth
plus a thousand times more
and that the jewels you have should be treasured and stored
stored away till that day that you find your life mate
the one you can share your soul with
who will love and cherish you
that someone to grow old with
Hey little black girl... do you know your worth?
do you now that you are the legacy of our people
and that it should be hard for others to add up
and also become your equal
because you are that rose
that grew from the crack in the concrete
and the petals from all other roses
should be thrown at your feet
in celebration of you
A queen, I repeat a queen is what you are
you are that brightest shining star
you are the incubation of life
a divine being amongst our people
here to bring forth kings and queens
to grow up and become your sequel
Hey little black girl... Do you know your worth?
there will be times in life
when some man may tell you
that your not worth what you are
but first he will whisper sweet nothings in your ear
just to suck you in
and once he's got you he will go to enemy from friend
and he may say thing to crush every fiber of your being
and thats mostly because
he wont want anyone else to have you as a queen
so listen little girl
when I tell you your worth it still stands
and you should never let your actions be based off the opinions of a man
and dont worry about the girls who do not know their worth
hopefully very soon they will realize their purpose on this earth
you just move along little girl
with your head held high
you have the tools and capabilities to be great in this life
also little girl
peer pressure is a b*tch
and you must watch everything you do
because behind you it's always a snitch
ready to report on your flaws
and also your mistakes
and will make up rumors that will make your life shake
 like an earthquake
thats 7.5 on the ricther scale
and will have your friends running away
like they were jumping bail
Hey little black girl... do you know your worth?
do you know that you are worth the 16 hours of labor it took to have you
and if I had to do it all over again
I would
just to be able to teach you what I might have missed the first time
Hey little girl... I know your worth
I know you are worth a million times more then what you could have ever imagined
and thats because you are a reflection of me
and I am
and I raised nothing less than a QUEEN
