Heart-attack

In fear of heartbreak
I locked myself in a tiny prison
I swallowed the keys to make sure
it was never opened again
Because of that I pushed you away
Not considering the pain I might have caused you
How selfish I was for thinking about only me
I could see your feelings through your eyes
So I avoided getting closer to you
Because of my previous chapter of love
I still remember the hell I felt
I still remember the earthquake
Because it crushed the mountain into peaces
right before my eyes
I was so scared of going through such torment once again
That I caused you the heart-attack I was trying not to have
