Happiness Personified
Have you ever seen happiness personified?
Do you know what it looks like?
If you want, I can tell you all about it
This is a poem about someone, who makes my heart ecstatic
Happiness, believe me, is not very difficult to get
All you have to do is, to adopt a pet
In my case, it is my dog & "Rambo" is his name
The intesity with which he loves, can put all the Romeos and Juliets to shame
He is a bundle of energy, jumping around all day
Greeting everyone who visits us, with abundant affectionate display
Rambo is always happy and wants everyone to stay the same
He doesen't like it, when anyone, is in any kind of pain
Life can be hard at times, so I come home tired and dismayed
But a couple of licks from Rambo, instantly wipe the sorrows away
His energy is infectious, & he passes it on to me
I forget how tired I am, & we both start to play
Sometimes I have to be hard on him, & I hate to see the sad face he makes
But it is for his own good, It's a step that I must take
In this way, Rambo has taught me a very important lesson in life
I now understand and see my parents, in a much better light
Rambo's heart is pure gold
& there is no grudge that he ever holds
Every single time, when I call his name
He comes running to me, in the happiest mind frame
Yes he makes me very happy,& he keeps my blues away
I just hope that I too, am doing, the best for him in every way
Yes, he is happiness personified
&, you need to know him to understand, what love really is.
