Habits

Habits put minds to sleep where thinking says goodbye:
perfunctory conducts all reason will defy.

Automatic habit is repetition bound.
Unconscious compulsion behavior will impound.
"Brushing teeth after meals" or face harassing hound.
Frequent performances are redundantly wound.
Predisposing patterns will completely surround.

Habits lock deeds in place with regularity.
Acquired acting modes have circularity.

Customary habit is like unwritten law.
Practices are followed for social norms to draw.
"Dress for the occasion" or it's a tragic flaw.
Unrelenting urges have endless nag and gnaw.
Usage expectation always sticks in one's craw.

Habits solidify commonplace responses.
Petrified positions overlook nuances.
