Guardian's Song

Christopher Azakor Nwakwesi

Show me how to loose the ties
To abandon behind this angry dusk
And sally forth in the newness of dawn.

Show me the pilot star
That guides me freely home
Through each perplexing path
Till I open the ancient gates.

That when life's work on earth is done
Then my immortal crown is worn.
