Growing Up

An adorable little girl with Goldilocks hair
Red rosy cheeks and skin so fair.
Just a bit mischievous and slightly shy
you see the ocean in her sparkly blue eyes.
In her bedroom is where you find
her reading a book and broadening her mind.
As the younger years rapidly go by
she becomes too old for sleepy lullabies.
In comes the music out goes the toys
In comes the hormones and interest in boys.
The boys were cute and lots of fun
Now she's going to have her own little one.
The days of innocence are long gone
can't wish them back with a magic wand.
No longer that naive awkward little girl
as she enters the adult world.
So many choices she is going to make
to have a future for her and the baby's sake.
Strenth and determination is what she'll need
with support from her family i know she'll succeed.
