to drink in separated hues.
Wait staff soles into sleek Red Shoes.

With victorious voices,
encore ears,
fingers fleet,
and smiles smart,
scrape your knees and stand.
Open arms, painted and prayed to.
Sinew stretched beyond all the world's
cubicles and parental should-haves.

Out past midnight.
With a song and a shuffle.
On the gem-studded blade of red and black.
