Grandpa's Happy Demise

'Twas early spring on Lower Nemahbin
As grandpa rowed his boat cross icy blue
To fish his favored spot off point outrun,
It's what he'd done sincere nineteen aught and two.
'Bout halfway there he felt a little pain
And thought, "Must be that Strudel", then pressed on.
He anchored, cast his lure cross rocky chain
And caught a large-mouth bass atop its spawn.
He didn't take the time to string that bass
But cast his lure again in rocky place
And hooked another, frenzy came to pass,
Then heart attack and died with smiling face.
He went while doing what he liked the best
I'll bet he's smiling yet in eternal rest.
