Grandchildren

Early on a holiday morning, after many ills,
I rise and see the sun illuminating the hills

The phone rings announcing, Grandma beware,
The grandchildren are coming, I must prepare

Is there anything more rewarding to a Ma
Than little voices saying, I love you Grandma

The warmth is a bonus for our day
But children's voices steal my heart away

Take away all my money and my car
But never let my little ones stay away far!
