Grand Prize

The Pressure is on, what do i write?
Ive read everyones poems in despite,
Sweet running down my face,
So nervous and all those great poets to blame,
There poems so good and lined just right,
How can I win the grand prize this time?
As I walk the room with a blank stare,
Ive got it, Ive got it the words are here,
Ill win me that mighty grand prize this year,
I chew my pen and start to write,
I paused for a moment and thought what if its not right?
On my, Oh God I beg of thee,
Please give me these words I really need,
For all those great poets to see and read,
Make me the best they have ever seen,
In a moment so happy then I sigh,
How can I ask God to write words that are not mine?
I geuss if I win they have to be mine,
Let the best poet win the big grand prize.
