Grains Of Sand

Maybe it's not about remembering but never forgetting
like the breeze in your face on a hot day
the laughter of children or the sounds of bare foot prints walking across a floor
a favorite verse in a song you play over and over to bury it in the corners of your mind
the way a person tilts her head or blushes while they laugh
It is easy to see the complex
it's the simplest of things that are our treasures
that slip between our fingers like a hot summers night as melting ice cream that drips down our greedy fingers
some lessons are gifts that holds wisdom for life that falls between our fingers like grains of sand
