Golden jubilee

Oh my goodness what a day
Enjoyed by all in every way
Thousands lined the river side
To watch the Queen pass with pride

She stood all the time and waved
Along the route they had paved
Then the concert that was so good
Loved to have been there I sure would

Never seen such a spectacle in the mall
They all squeezed in together somehow
Just goes to show us Brits you see
We seem to love the monarchy

The whole things from start to finish
Not once did it diminish
Only tragic thing was the weather
But it made no difference what so ever

Those at home watched it all on the box
We didn't need our wellies and socks
Nice and dry with wine in hand
Sat listening to the great band

Barry Barlow to you I raise my hat
The way you organised all of that
The song written by Andrew and you
Hope you sell millions I really do
