God, Fear and self

Don't be afraid of love and its rapture, in these times of unbridled patriotism.

Don't be afraid of God in times of contradiction, as we seek ourselves out and buy individualism.

Please don't weep when it bleeds you of gilded nationalism, because God cannot love and forgive in a schism.

And please don't resist when love clutches your essence, and pulls you kicking and screaming from capitalism.

And please don't resent me when your pulled from the prison. Let love take firm hold because hates an addiction.
