God's Calling

Look upon My face
And know not to fear Me
Come My child and reach for My hand
For it is your time to rejoice
In the Kingdom of Heaven

Your body is whole once again
There is no pain or sorrow
Only love and happiness
Come My child and sit with Me
And know that everything will be Okay

His body may not be present
And his spirit has moved on
Know that he is with Me
Asking question after question

Know that he is no longer in pain
And able to dance and run
Most of all know that he is happy
And that his love still beats in us all

Melinda Waltman

The first time I have ever written a poem would be in 1997, and that was because a good friend and fatehr figure died. Now it seems that every time something tragic happens in my life, I come up with my best work. Just like with all the poems that I have posted are the people that are really close to me that died. The only poem that doesn't deal with death would be "COME FIND ME." That is just a poem about my lonely heart. So I will continue to show my feelings through my poems. That is the only way I can get my emotions out, other wise they stay bottled up. Please enjoy my poems. more…
