Go Softly Heart

Thread softly heart,
Walk easy as you depart,
Bear the dull pain that dimmed your sight,
Endure this woeful plight
all but one more night.

Pass quietly heart,
Weep now if you must,
Keep your beloved face etched in your mind,
And safely carved him in your eyes.

Hush now, oh tired heart,
Sink gently...softly,
into a dream distant.
Fly...far away heart,
Fade into the light.
