Gathered From Primary Affliction

Her empty soul
fills with what she
has always refused
to know.
Her mind softened
by the gentle works of
praise, love, and
most of all: affection.
It reminds her of
the way it was before
death ruled
her heavy heart.
It shows her
exactly how everything
should be,
what she wants.
His careful notions
sways her farther
than she knew
to stretch.
Her gratefulness
steals whatever
pain and sorrow
there was left.
