Gate to heaven

Trying to reach the end while I go,
It's impossible, I'm too slow.
The light on the other side is low,
I think I should follow the glow.

The only glow I recognize is you,
I don't know where else to go,
You're the only option I have left,
In this maze of life you're my faith.

The light is glowing even this late,
You are the reason I'm still awake.
The world is full of hate,
But with you I'll climb the gate.

Together we'll reach the end of this maze,
Your charm filled with my own strength.
Nobody can stop us from going all the way,
No matter what's ahead we'll never decay.

You are my faith, my reason, my world,
Without you I'll lose the light that leads me forward.
Without you my heart would stop beating,
My body will freeze as if I'm not breathing.

I'll find nowhere else to go,
But to stay living helplessly in a hole:
All alone, afraid and lost,
Searching for the light at any cost.

The light that will carry me to heaven,
Heaven of you and me.
