From Earth to Mars

Earth, the backdrop of everything, isolated, closer as it seems.
Revolving around planets with focus and peace.
One day earth would never be the same.
Because he would find something astonishing along the way.

Mars came along, threw an asteroid at him while he was at thought.
He received it and threw it back and didn't get caught.
After that they became friends, revolving around each other.
They were involved in missions and people didn't even bother.

Earth did a lot of experiments in the past,
psychological in fact and these did really last.
But when he saw Mars these faded away.
Because Mars was unique and was considered an exception.

Earth kept on revolving around Mars,
helping her out in a universe full of flaws.
But the question is why would Earth bother?
Because they had similar things with each other.

And soon they became good friends.
Talking and conversing around the cosmos.
Earth was so focused while Mars had some stardust,
and photons came to irritate the crust.

But these wouldn't stop them, not even for a billion years.
Earth's dream was to look for habitable planets.
While Mars' dream was stellar like a quasar.
Maybe Earth should stop looking for one,
Was Earth blind along the way?
Because one is so close to him without any radiation.
So maybe Earth should stop looking.
Because he has found an amazing one already.

This wonderful planet that he has found and befriended with.
Mars is the name, red as iron oxide.
An amazing planet with some troubles aside.
He would like to revolve around this planet for a long time.
Because she is the most awesome planet around space/time.

Soon in a billion years, the core of Earth would reactivate,
and the possibility of falling from orbit  would be imminent.
Was Mars the key all along?
Maybe if Earth would give in,
Then he could take Mars beyond the stars forever.
