Friendship's Light

There is a star burning brightly,
But this star is different ever so slightly.
It will never stop burning brightly,
But recently this star hasn’t been so sprightly.

There’s something on my mind,
But the words are hard to find.
The star burns from the centre of my heart,
Nothing can break this star apart.
Yet the star is losing its light.

I’m lost without its light.
I can’t breath without its fight.

The only thing keeping me going,
Are the seeds that I keep on sowing
And the tears that keep on flowing.
All the time not knowing where I am going.

But where ever I go,
This I know,
The seeds that I sow,
Will never stop to grow.
Therefore in my tears I do not wallow.
As I know that life can be a bitter pill to swallow.

For every seed that is sown,
A friendship has grown.
Now I stand not alone.
For every blossom brings a star to a heart,
And for every heart that I have touched,
There is a bright light shining every night.

The tears no more,
My light may have faded,
But in friendship I am aided,
With the light that I adore.
Lost no more.

From my ashes a phoenix rises,
Now I can enjoy life’s many surprises.
Such that the star that will burn forever brightly,
Is not that of my own,
but ours alone.

Now remember this with all your might.
A star is more than the sight of night.
A star is more than heat and light.
A star is central to life.
