Give me a person
Who looks you in the eye
And pledges all the worldly possession
For you and you alone
In time of dire needs
Then you indeed have a friend
Give me that person
Who then looks me in the eye
And ask me for my pledge
To give my best friend
All that I possessed
In his dire needs
Dare I make my pledge?
