Freedom Of Speech

I love my freedom of speech,
My freedom to use bad grammar,
And punctuation any way I please.
A double conundrum over a thought,
A riddle within a quandary, just like that.
A dangling modifier to add emphasis,
Then a noun over a verb misspelled.
I have many nom de plumes to boot,
And I laugh at every bad review.
If you think that I get mad about this,
Well, read my next poem just about you.
Did I forget an exclamation point?
The point was very clear in my words,
Maybe you should go smoke another joint,
Or as one guy put it, “Smoke poles,”
Whatever that is supposed to mean?
Maybe I will write a “Divine Comedy,”
Following Dante's footsteps through Hell.
Hey, I know, just to p*ss some off,
I will write like William Shakespeare.
Just kidding, more like Dr. Seuss,
Can I have some of your green eggs and ham?
Say, is that a cat in a hat that I see?
Your blood must be boiling right now,
“How dare he compare himself to the Greats!”
Freedom of speech, you used it on me,
So I will retort with a poem, that's my right!
