Freedom

Do you truthfully believe in freedom?

The freedom to life, even unspoken
Is most important, never a token.

Can I be atheist and anarchist
Without being placed on some strangers list?

Can I, like Socrates, ask end questions
Even those that are full of your sins?
Then take your answer with sarcasm.

Can I clean my windows in your full view
To shine the bits that might be brand new
Will you allow me a different skin
Regardless what difficulty I'm in.

Can I be different, when not of your view
Even if I layed the land far from true.

Can I ride my own bike
Sing my own song
Write my own words
Even if they're heard?

Can I pray to god in some disbelief
Can I shout a cause, or just lie in grief
Can I read your book without censure
Can I pull a tooth to fit a denture?

Can I throw a stone when freedom is threatened
Or does your freedom carry concessions?
