Forever Yours

I see the bright light of day,
but somehow feel as though I've lost something along the way.
I go about my usual day,
But I continue to feel the exact same way.
I watch those around me smile,
something I have not done in a while.
I would go that extra mile,
to once again find my smile.
But then, out of the blue,
a new day dawns and I find you.
What I feel is more than new,
and so my smile grew.
As you take my hand in yours,
my heart takes flight and soars.
Together we'll go all of the doors,
hand in hand I'll be forever yours.

My idea of Poetry is something that can cleanse the soul, and should be meaningful to both author and reader. Poetry is my way of releasing my emotions through my writing, and it never fails to help me calm myself, or express my joy. more…
