For Shyah

The sunshine streams from clouds on high
and dances in her eyes
the laughter of the day gone by
echos in my mind.
She who laughs at wind swept hair
and cries at bumble bees
loves to dance in the rain
and swing from apple trees.
In times before when she was gone
I'd cry myself to sleep
now I'm thankful she is here
giggling at my feet.
My angel girl who cheered us up
when times were dark and dim
looks up to me and blows a kiss
with a toothless grin.
