For Meagan

You passed away this morning
So very young and beautiful
But I did not know you
And as I sat outside on the patio
reading the encouraging words of your friends
My yard became full of blue jays
black birds and sparrows
And all in a seconds time
they begin telling me some things about you
of your strength and inner beauty
your compassion for others
And how you loved your friends and family
and the very words of Jesus Christ
Just as God knows when a single sparrow falls
A sparrow also knows the glory of God
Today, many will know you
Today, I will remember how the birds
sang out loudly, in your honor
Peace beautiful child

Phil the rogue poet

I have no honors no badges no awards or medals, I reach toward the sun like flowering petals, I teach in poetry as I learn from others, We each bloom separately into different colors, and where I come from, we have a sense of humor. Peace and love my poetic friends! more…
