For I Believe Our Love Is True, by Fred M. Lassonde

For I Believe Our Love Is True, by Fred M. Lassonde

The miracle was when I met you

You seemed to take a liking to me too

You being you and I being me

It did not seem likely you see

Yet you liked me and I liked you

We were truly soul mates too

Then as this world goes

You thought wrong and why who knows

Yet I still long to hold you

Now I do not know what to do

For the Devil does play tricks

Your misconception still sticks

I try to change your mind

But Satan has you blind

To the Love meant only for you

I pray, I know not what else to do

The miracle was when I met you

You seemed to take a liking to me too

You being you and I being me

It did not seem likely you see

Yet you liked me and I liked you

We were truly soul mates too

Then as this world goes

You thought wrong and why who knows

True Love never knew a smooth trail

Yet I was hopeful that was an old wives tale

For I still long to hold you

Oh I still long to hold you

Now your gone and I am left to see

That you now longer want to hold me

Our Love was never meant for this

Yet gone you are now thinking amiss

What we need is another miracle

Your heart needs to come to see

We are soul mates and we are able

To see I was meant for you and you for me

True Love never knew a smooth trail

Yet I was hopeful that was an old wives tale

For I still long to hold you

For I believe our Love is True!
