For Gloria

Brought forth to this world in precedence of
A great wintry storm, monumental timing.
Wondrous little soul whose name was almost
Deserving of the child it would grace through life.

Depth of spirit unmatched by anything I had
Witnessed in this life or any past incarnation.
Though fate and circumstance would witness
A separation that tortured me yet whispered hope.

Beautiful woman that you have become,
Let it be known the strength of your mother's love.

I love you.
