Flowering

A single lavender flower spreads
Downy vines like feathery wings thread;
Tightly around the old fallen tree,
Flourishing blissfully for all to see.
Lavender wisps of blossoming fragrance,
Groundlessly embedded there by chance
In that forlorn dying oak.
Stirring the hearts of ordinary folks,
The blossoms perform their flowery show
Happily reclaiming life out of rot.
