Flight

Softly does the wind buffet the wing
Silently the eye peers at the tenuous yonder
Betwixt the fathomless shapes of vapour
Another song reminisces lyrical lament
To take away the reminding energy and scent
Some desperate attempt to escape and renew faith
Swinging into blue from memories once would sting
Now numb and distant so far away
Then to notice hands that shake and grasp
Leather on skin a piercing stretch
Thoughts in clouds like shell as a vessel
But doesn't even begin
Now home is a tear and the future unknown
And things will NEVER be the same
