Flash Floods (Las Vegas 8.19.03)

Waterpower in flash floods is a raging force.
There is nothing in the way
that can stay its course.
Waterpower overwhelms the mighty and strong.
Whirling currents respect none,
pushing all along.
Waterpower undermines homestead foundation.
Deluges can percolate
for desecration.
Waterpower surgically alters the landscape.
Inundation will erode
and design reshape.
Waterpower churns to toss a large truck or car.
Waves treat then like Tonka toys,
flinging all afar.
Waterpower in flash floods nothing can appease.
Everyone must surrender
when brought to the knees.
