First Things First

It's like you've been trained
for misbehavin'
and mistreatin'
beautifully mishappen,
I can see you've been beaten
I keep my mouth sewn up shut
with a kind of... magic tape
so that my cruelties might never escape
I won't subject you to my humiliation
or corrupt with psychic manipulation
ride out the waves
of your tempest of temptation
some day I'll survive you,
a supernatural sensation
you don't have to go down
burning
come sit close to me
I'll sate you sweetly
I mean what I say
you don't have to lay down
to please me
Don't pull away
in a passive evasion
a passionless teasing,
a parody
Reciprocate
so I can finally gain clarity
When I show love
it's really a rarity
