First Imperssions

First impressions are the best the one you made beat the rest.
You were the first that made it here
and when you cried you seen my first tear.
I'll never forget your tiny hands and that when they reach out it is love they demand.
I'll never forget the sent of your skin so new and the look you gave me
like your mother you knew.
They said that you were strong but it was you that gave me the strength
I'd looked for so long.
The days pass by and then the weeks
as months and years start to peak.
As your first words branded my heart I watch you grow and it tears me apart.
You'll never again be that small and tiny so remember that now your slate is new and shiny.
Momma will help you until I'm gone and try to keep you from doing wrong.
but there are things that I just can't do like love someone else as I love you.

Jessica Hanlon

I started writing poetry as a release for the negative in my life . At times life has been tough but has tought me many lessons ,I have met good and bad people at still feel blessed for meeting both because without knowing the bad you cant fully love and be thankful for what you have ...I always try to enter everything with a open mind so I can see it from every side and get a true picture ....No matter how things fall I will NEVER QUIT ...I am a headstrong solid person. Very down to earth..HARM NONE LEAST YEE BE HARMED!!! Life is a give and take don't ask for things from someone that you can't in return give!! Respect is a EARNED gift .. more…
