First Burst

The first time you know truth from personal insight
it will turn your head around
and cause a vigil light that nothing can respite
The first time you see birth by calving from a cow
it will turn your head around
and cause a pensive wow that nothing can allow
The first time you take flight on orbits in deep space
it will turn your head around
and cause an about-face that nothing can erase
The first time you make love to someone you adore
it will turn your head around
and cause spirits to soar that nothing can ignore
The first time you find peace in letting anger go
it will turn your head around
and cause a golden glow that nothing can bestow
The first time you feel awe for a new shadow band
it will turn your head around
and cause a softer stand that nothing can disband
