Feel The Presence

I wakeup in the morning and reach over for you
I find the bed is empty and think it can't be true

I explore every quarter and feel a presence near
I find the house is empty and think visions appear

I undulate to music and respond to your touch
I find the dance is empty and think it's like a crutch

I travel to the city and see you on each block
I find the street is empty and think it's future shock

I visit the old hangout and know a favored place
I find the haunt is empty and think it's a slight trace

I attend the lawn party and listen to your song
I find the sound is empty and think you don't belong

I create a fantasy and typecast you in role
I find the dream is empty and think it's lacking soul
