Farewell to a Butterfly

I knew a butterfly with a heart of gold
She tried to keep it but could not hold
This is her story sad but true
It turns a heart from glad to blue
The wings of the butterfly had lost their flight
The butterfly gave in she could not fight
She fell so hard it's sad to say
How could such beauty end this way
The butterfly's heart was full of despair
What else could she think that no one did care
She prayed and she tried to fly once more
When there was a faint knock at the front door
There stood a Man that looked full of Grace
Come follow Me I'll show you a place
There is a home where happy you'll be
The meadows are golden come fly with Me
She took the Man's hand her wings He did mend
They flew up toward heaven as both did ascend
Now happy the butterfly there is no regret
The Man at the door was Jesus she met
You may think its wrong what she's done
But I say she taken by Gods only Son
Now happy the butterfly forever she'll be
She went to a place in heaven you see
She's joined kindred spirits that went on before
So be careful and listen for the knock at your door
Oh butterfly dear butterfly come fly with me
The face of Jesus we want to see

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with with me.
