Far away longing

Trapped away in this palace of joy,
Full of laughter and dancing and glee;
I stand alone, aside from it, feeling coy
Constantly wondering what's missing from me
I join the group in laughter and learn
So many new wondrous things
But I still sit there hollow; I yearn
For the one who makes my heart sing
I play with the others, only smiles are shown
But only a shell of I stands with them
I simply can't help feeling alone
And I just cannot stop missing you.
