FantasyLand (2004)

faceless and loud, i probe the skies,
looking for light in a city of gloom.
a paradox is true when you look to the sea,
hoping to find a place where flowers will bloom.
a place with a smile, and two eyes to love,
far enough away to forget this depression.
with chagrin and a note of sadness do i admit the truth,
that the place i hail from has lost a blessing from above.
but in my heart i remember the warmth and compassion,
that never leaves me and burns steady and true.
a place where the children run free,
and the skies are always blue.
and one day i will find the valley,
where the dawn is a blessing.
a place to greet the morning,
with warmth and caressing.
