Fallen Tears

D D

As I kneel upon a shallow stone
A breeze blows gently blue
I turn to face the sky, oh lord
But the tears fall all too soon

A reflection staring back at me
In a pond of golden tears
I can't help myself to think that I
Am looking in a mirror

Singing birds are silent now
And I turn to move away
The clouds are stirring heavily
As they form a shade of gray

I blink my eyes in retrospect
The raindrops about my face
Oh how they seem to be just like
The tears of gods' embrace
