Faith

Faith
an evolution from inside out
a conviction that lingers about
while we wean; while we learn
while we rend; while we mend
from the liquidity of milk to the solidity of meat
from the hardness of meat to the rockiness of bone
a substance so weighed, over and all over again
from light to heavy weight, yet the sources remain
once little now large, so strong you got a badge
when expectation is felt; and anticipation is smelt

only in the minds we act without edge, without tact
only upon a mission; the sure footpath of a vision
while we run in the doing; and bask in the knowing
showing forth evidence that surrounds the birth
of the expected; the respected;
of the esteemed; the treasured
works born from instruction; the fruits of conviction
add a little salt of passion; the marvel behind the vision
but its grows and it keeps growing; bigger and better
and cherish and sweeter

a sparkle of surprise from the finger of God
a miracle of wonder from the Lord of lords
yet without which seems a falter
unable to meet Him at the alter
to move his mighty hands
to put you in a firm stand
faith without works is dead
but with it and action is bread
without guts it's unthinkable to press forth
without faith it's impossible to please God!

David Abraham

Here, an opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to ALMIGHTY GOD for giving me the gift of poetry, it is indeed a beautiful thing especially the positive energy of expression and the passion. I discovered my gift of writing and poetry quite early but only much later in my life did I start to put it to use. I was quite active in the old poetry.com and won one poetic pin, several poetic accolades and one of the poets of the year in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. Presently, am writing my second unpublished inspirational book and also putting together a poetic book due to be published later in the year. email address: mypoeticcareer@yahoo.com.
