Extremes

As calm as silence; in between soft breath,
whispers collect thawed romantic notions,
the world is pregnant with delicious peace
as she pours another gin and tonic
into the wild depth of her ice cool glass.
Musical atmospheric bliss shimmers
as birdsong wraps her spirit in roses;
fragrant imaginative palpable
wonder which gathers colourful shadows.
An ecstatic buzz wanders through her smiles
while artistic deliverance sips hours;
quiet sections where fingers mix the mind.

She trips and the glass rolls across vision
before it shatters on the floor's hard wood,
screams bubble on furious lips before
being popped by violent twisted cold hate.
Rage coughs a fit of stylish malice out,
curtains twitch in poetic fear as fists
crash against the table's surrendered shine.
Enthusiastically paintings erupt
into motion; they pay a warm visit
to alcoholic insanity's door
as she continues to wreak havoc on
self-pity's frightened lowered look of pain.
