Excuse my Fate

I show off my lies to help me grow.
I cross out the truth and get high on the low.
I stand down to look up to rip out a page.
I'm side to side out of life with endless rage over age.
I'm true to my mind and all I've forgot.
My heart lives alone and remembers a lot.
I'll rise to a rose and gloss its thorns.
For the dead feel death and the flower mourns.
Steal my pride and cheer as I cry.
Tears erase time until it's hard to lie.
Ambush my thoughts and make me hate.
Prove my pleasure and excuse my fate.
