Eternal Light

Kingdoms may crumble,
Flesh may wither,
Even the details of this story
Will become faded and obscure…

But all through the ages,
Twin hearts are bound
In eternal friendship,
Defying the hands of time…

Their faces may change,
Along with their simple names;
But they still persist,
Their souls now immortal…

Shattering the mold
With sharp, impenetrable hearts;
Defying their pain,
And mocking their suffering…

They are the light
That will guide us through
To brighter days
And dream-drenched nights.
