Enigmas

Life riddles that are enigmatic
To which the answers involve a pun
All the things that are most puzzling
This is a conundrum.
Statements that don't logically follow
Non sequiturs embellished by jazz
Double-talk, ambiguous language
This is a razzmatazz.
Situations marked by paradox
Contradictions, absurdity too
Where solutions are impossible
This is catch twenty-two.
Extravagant exaggeration
Though panglossian redundancy
Word paint for incredible pictures
This is hyperbole.
Sanctimonious, smarmy acting
Pretentious, caring pedestrian
Hypocritically benevolent
This is pecksniffian.
