enchanted

Earle Francis Brown

She comes again,
like a dog
to her vomit.
The chronicle of a plague
devouring, even flesh.
The old ploy
of damsel suffering.
A thick head,
think up broad shoulders.
Forgetting the rebuke
of the woman
who pushed him out.
Enthralled by the bosoms
of heart break;
a lure to the grave.
The taste of her orifices
sucks judgment dry.
The aura repels allies.
Whenever she vanished
his mind, the prodigal,
resurfaced.
Remember tis a saga
of a game called love.

I was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I was told that I can write, so I wrote and continues to write. I am currently living in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. I enjoy reading "real" poetry. My favorite books are the Pslams, Proverbs and Songs of Solomon.Poetry is not just vocabulary, and use of metaphors and formats. Don't be tricked. Poetry should speak life.
