you smile as though you own the place
the truth to all is your clown face
behind your mask your fears are released
within yourself you feel deceased
strolling around in cat-free fashion
swinging and two-stepping, you've lost your passion.
Your smile inside gone, your flame , and its spark
you gaze at yourself, alone in the dark
dark shadows fallen about your face
searching further your mind slows its race
your face disappears replaced by dull shapes
screaming at solitude your haert achs to escape
the secret you hide
is the truth you are me
we strike out at the mirror
but will we ever be free
