Empty Words, Deaf Hearts

It passes and bounces around me.
I imagined it senselessly
swirling.
You open your mouth and
say something,
but it never reached me.

You mouthed "I love you",
And I waited for my heart to hear.
I said "I love you too" and wondered
did your heart heard me too.
