Easy on the Eyes

All I wanted was a friend
Someone I could tell my horrid story
and even though you couldn't see my face
You fled

Thanks for nothing
I can take a hint
Can you keep a secret?

The only thing I'm sure of is how much I want to die
"Do you love?" I do, but you knew it
Now, don't patronize
It breaks my heart to see you hate yourself
I don't want to see you this way
Drained and despairing
Let me look into your eyes today
I'm saving for the memory
I don't want the picture to fade
when you're gone forever
There never really was a 'you and me'
So I've forgotten everything

The only thing I want to happen any given waking moment is to be near you even if you won't acknowledge, even if you won't say good-bye
The only one I want is you to stay with me when the night is through and you're the first to leave every time
Even if she doesn't love you She'll take the time to breat your heart because there's nothing like revenge To make a fresh new start

I've always been the punchline
I've always been the fool
I do it just because it's better than nothing
I've always been ready to take the fall
or bear instead the sins for them all and they'd happily watch me die,
move camp when the well runs dry

So I know how it feels
to bow down and to kneel
to a world and a Lord that just doesn't care
I know just what it's like
to be buried alive
to resurface and find nothing there
I know just what it takes
to steal the throne from the Snake
and I'll wear the crowns of Dominion
I know just what you're thinking,
that I've lost my mind, but even a stinking
idiot like you can have an opinion
