Dragon Of Lies

An evil dragon has taken my first born without any re-guard for the pain that he laid before us all

It stretched out its wings and dug in its claws leaving this mother behind feeling helpless and so very small

I know my son’s frightened but tries not to show it for where he’s at the dragon’s death wish is around

This dragon disguised as power and strength it’s all just a lie but able to devour each victim here in our own hometown

How do we fight him, can anyone please tell me how cause I don’t know what weapons to use to once and for all defeat him

He has taken to many mothers and fathers, my son, someone’s daughter, so many neighbors one who once was your friend

The dragon is heartless, so cruel and cares for no one at all and grows fiercely stronger with each painful passing day

This dragon lives among the people we love but if we fight together we can help each other I know that’s the only way

Those of us left behind live in emptiness for those that we love who the dragon has snatched out a once remembered life

I will not give up hope my son, I look for you constantly, please don’t give up on yourself, and you are loved, please find your way home tonight

Maylinda Jane McRae

I haved live in Georgia all my life. I have four beautiful children and five grandchildren,an amazing man in my life named Scott. God has also blessed me with many loving family members and friends. God has blessed me in so many ways and I want to share with others how amazing he is and the grace that he wants to bestow on others. I have been writing since I was a little girl, it has always helped me to express myself whether it was during a storm or a victory in my life. My prayer is that my poems will help someone who may be going through a storm or celebrate a vicotry in life. more…
