Dr. Benjamin

Neil McLeod 1947 (Oxford)

Dr Benjamin

Dr. Aurthur M.D. on the door,
You probably missed it before,
Because on the way in
Your sight was so dim,
You could only just make out the floor.

But his office is cozy and slick
And his girls show you just where to sit,
While they ask “What's the matter?”
In a soft Russian  patter,
All looking so pretty and fit.

You might take a lesson from me,
If it's blurry when you pour your tea,
If your lenses of late
Don't accommodate
Then he is the one you should see.
